PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Imai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saddam Hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hussain has chosen Wicked as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Imai has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hussain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Imai tries to buck Hussain off but Hussain is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hussain looks to move to half guard but instead Imai has passed into mount! Damn!

Imai is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Hussain is in real trouble.
What can Hussain do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Saddam Hussain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hussain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
