PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bross comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gangstarr - Who Got Gunz kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bross throws a good cross that connects.
Nice sprawl there from Bross as Torres shoots in.
Bross looks to score with a jab to the body but Torres is just out of range.

Bross shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bross was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Torres is looking to improve his position but Bross isn't that keen on the idea.

Torres is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Torres tries to reverse the position but Bross maintains control.
Torres is squirming around, avoiding Bross's attempts to control the action.
Bross prevents Torres from getting the reversal.

Bross is working for a guillotine from mount but Torres frees his head quite easily.
Bross has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Torres really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Bross is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Torres is surviving well by controlling Bross's body position as best he can.
Torres can't escape the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bross is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Torres can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Torres is looking to get to half guard.
Bross misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Torres regains half guard.
Torres is trying to stand back up but Bross is controlling him
Torres makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Torres.

Torres looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bross drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Bross as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Torres screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Bross! Nice submission victory there!
