The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo punishes The Rat's body with a nice straight punch.

The Rat shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angelo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but The Rat scores with a couple of nice shots.
Angelo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Angelo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Angelo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Rat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Angelo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Rat defends well.

Angelo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Rat manages to get himself to full guard.

Angelo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Angelo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The Rat thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The Rat changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Angelo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Angelo seems to be looking for submissions.
