Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grace tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.
Grace fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grace works over Williams's head and body with a nice combination.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Grace lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grace.
Grace tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Williams.
Grace tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Grace throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grace slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Williams keeps the fight on the outside.
Grace throws a right and a left that both miss.

Grace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Grace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grace lands a jab-cross combination.
Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grace tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grace to the ground. Grace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chuck Grace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Williams.
Williams slips a jab and a cross from Grace.
Grace tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams has taken the fight to the clinch.
Williams breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Williams counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Grace misses with a few strikes there.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grace but Grace pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by Grace.
Grace lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Grace looks to land a combination. Williams sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grace rushes Williams with punches - Williams moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Williams goes down! Grace follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
