PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between GLK Ino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lara has chosen 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that GLK Ino has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily GLK Ino seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ino fails with a takedown attempt.

Lara shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Lara avoids the attempt from Ino to control.
A nice elbow there by Lara.

Lara prevents Ino from getting the reversal.

Ino is trying to escape the mount.

Ino sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Ino manages to get to full guard.

Lara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lara won't allow Ino to sweep him here.
Lara makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ino is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lara tries to stand but Ino is controlling from the bottom.
Ino is breathing heavily.
Lara won't allow Ino to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ino keeps the fight on the outside.

and Lara counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ino won't be happy with that.
Lara tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ino prevents Lara from improving position.
Lara landing strikes.
Lara lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lara tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Lara wants to stand but Ino is controlling his arm.
Ino is looking to regain half guard here but Lara keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lara landing a few strikes.
Ino manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lara's best efforts.
Ino is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Ino is pressing down on Lara's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ino has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lara off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Ino closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ino lands in his opponent's guard.

Ino advances to half guard.

Ino looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lara on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ino is keen to just control but Lara is a slippery customer.
Ino trying to mount his opponent but Lara defends it.
Lara is not content to let Ino control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ino passes the guard and advances to mount!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lara blocks a head kick by Ino.
Ino is looking to clinch but Lara is avoiding it.
Ino fails with the takedown

so Lara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lara lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ino has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lara should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ino has tightened it up now! Lara should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
