The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips shoots for a takedown but Lampton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Phillips thuds a left hand into Lampton's body.
Phillips stuffs the takedown attempt from Lampton. Lampton gets slowly back to his feet.
Phillips scores with a three punch combo!

It looks like Eddy Lampton has been cut.
Phillips keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Lampton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Phillips is trying is best to control the position here.
Phillips is trying to stand up here but Lampton is controlling him well.
Phillips wants to get back to full guard.
Lampton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Phillips does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Phillips wants to get back to his feet.
Phillips is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lampton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lampton's back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lampton rolls, trying to escape but Phillips keeps control of the position.
Lampton breaks Phillips's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Phillips is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Phillips is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lampton trying to control but Phillips is working from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Lampton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lampton is breathing heavily.
Lampton misses with a head kick.
Lampton on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A lazy left from Phillips finds it's target.
Lampton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Phillips.

Lampton is rocked!
Lampton leaves his chin hanging out and Phillips seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lampton crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
