PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Random Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Random Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Norris jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Random Gracie has been cut.

Norris gets a clinch.

Norris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Norris.
Norris looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Norris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Norris tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Norris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Norris looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Norris misses with a few strikes there.
Norris tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.
Gracie misses with a head kick.
Gracie throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Norris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Norris wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Random Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Norris doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.

Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Norris is defending well.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Norris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Norris tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Norris is trying to stand up here but Gracie is controlling him well.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Norris is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Norris is trying to escape back to his feet but Gracie uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Gracie wants to control but Norris is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Norris, as that shot connected.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Norris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Norris moves out of range easily.
Norris tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Norris doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Norris misses with a jab, cross combination.
Norris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Norris has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.
Gracie is trying to drag Norris to the mat but Norris just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Norris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Norris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Norris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A nice combination there by Norris.

Random Gracie's cut is getting worse.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Norris lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Norris thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gracie is rocked!

Random Gracie's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Random Gracie's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
