The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams keeps the fight on the outside.

Rodriguez de Lima drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Rodriguez de Lima is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Adams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Adams tries to bench press Rodriguez de Lima off him but Rodriguez de Lima keeps the position.

Adams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rodriguez de Lima's guard.

Adams wants to take a breather but Rodriguez de Lima is having none of it.

Luiz Rodriguez de Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rodriguez de Lima looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Adams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Rodriguez de Lima counters with a shoot takedown. Adams fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
