Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Spackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spackman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Forgot about Dre. John Spackman had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Spackman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dirk Richter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richter wants to land a leg kick but Spackman is out of range.
A head kick misses from Richter.
Richter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Spackman moves out of range of the body kick from Richter.
Spackman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richter tries to avoid it but Spackman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richter to the ground. Richter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richter looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Richter misses with a low kick.
Richter scores with a push kick.
Spackman is breathing heavily.
Spackman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Spackman moves out of range of the body kick from Richter.
Both fighters circling a little - Richter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Richter throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Dirk Richter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spackman walks forward, straight into a front kick from Richter.
Richter thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Spackman if he has to take too many more of those.
Richter scores with a leg kick.
Richter looks to land a body kick but Spackman moved away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Richter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Richter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Richter connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Richter sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Spackman to the ground! Richter dives into full mount looking to finish!


It looks like John Spackman has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Richter working for a guillotine from mount but Spackman is in no mood to give up.
Richter wants to control the pace but Spackman is squirming around nicely.

Richter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Spackman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Richter has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Spackman is forced to tap!
