Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Buckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Morgan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Buckle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Van Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Buckle is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Morgan tries to advance to mount but can't.
Buckle is trying to control Morgan's posture but Morgan avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morgan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Buckle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Morgan's guard! Nice work there by Buckle!
Buckle thows a big elbow that misses.
Buckle wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.

Morgan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Buckle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Buckle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Buckle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Morgan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Morgan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Buckle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morgan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Buckle's back instead.
Buckle trying to control the position but Morgan manages to sink in the hooks.

Buckle is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Morgan gets his way!
Morgan looks gassed!
Morgan is trying to stick to Buckle's back but Buckle is turning into Morgan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Morgan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Buckle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Buckle is pushing down on Morgan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Morgan is fighting to maintain full guard but Buckle has managed to sneak the leg through.
Buckle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.
Buckle with the ground and pound but Morgan uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Buckle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Morgan looking to control.
Buckle controls from within his opponent's guard.
Morgan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Buckle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Buckle wants to pass the guard but Morgan is keeping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Buckle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Buckle lands in his opponent's guard.
Buckle throws a big right hand that misses.
Buckle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Buckle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Buckle trying to control but Morgan is working from the bottom.
Buckle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morgan's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Buckle throwing shots but Morgan is blocking nicely.
Buckle passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Morgan!
Buckle trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Buckle punching from mount but Morgan doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Buckle manages to capitalize on a mistake by Morgan to take his back!
Buckle tries to get the hooks in deep but Morgan pushed the leg off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Buckle has his arm under Morgan's chin here. Game over son! Buckle squeezes tightly and Morgan is forced to tap out!
