PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marvelous Marvin Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luta Livre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We Be Friends?. Luta Livre will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Black.
Livre keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Black.
Black uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Black is looking to clinch.

Livre forces Black back against the cage and clinches.

Livre has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Black regains guard immediately.

Black escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Livre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Black is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Livre is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Livre trying to control but Black is working from the bottom.
Livre forces his way into half guard.
Livre stops Black from getting back to his feet.
Nice strikes from Livre there.
Livre prevents Black from improving his position.
Livre drops an elbow to the side of Black's head.
Livre working over Black with some ground and pound. Black looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Black is trying to get back to full guard.

Livre is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Black throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Livre manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Livre asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Livre tries for a kimura but Black is defending well.
Livre looks up at the clock and then as Black takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Livre smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Black is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Livre creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Black is looking to reverse the position.
Livre cracks Black with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Black tries to improve position but can't.

Livre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black is looking for a sweep.
Black can't do much from the bottom here.
Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Livre on the ground.
Black on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Livre scoring with punches and elbows.
Black is trying to control Livre's posture but Livre avoids it.
Black misses with an elbow from the bottom.

Livre is working Black over with some ground and pound from side control.
Black tries to bench press Livre off him but Livre keeps the position.

Livre has an Americana. Black didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Livre is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Livre hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
