PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Graham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Graham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries for a takedown but Graham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Graham shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Graham won't allow it.

Graham ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Graham no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Graham manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

Graham pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.
Graham in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Graham looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Graham passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Graham is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Graham working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jackson tries to bench press Graham off him but Graham keeps the position.

Graham tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Graham has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Graham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson parries the strikes from Graham easily there. Graham is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackson to escape.
Jackson is trying to control Graham's posture but Graham avoids it.
Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jackson wants to control but Graham is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Graham trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well.

Graham is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Graham to get the leverage.

Jackson tries to roll over but Graham keeps him under control.
Graham looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Graham trying to advance position but Jackson counters by regaining guard.
Graham slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Graham tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Graham has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jackson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Graham's best efforts.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson wants to control but Graham is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Graham works his way into side control.
Jackson tries to bench press Graham off him but Graham keeps the position.

Graham has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Graham shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson fails with the takedown

and Graham counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Graham dominated that round.

Graham closes the distance and clinches.
Graham tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.
Graham scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Graham wants the takedown. Jackson is fighting it off but Graham persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jackson's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Graham wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Graham is really struggling to control Jackson but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Graham advances position into side control!
Graham wants to take a breather but Jackson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Graham.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Graham wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Graham passes into half guard.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Graham passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jackson!

Graham working for a guillotine from mount but Jackson is in no mood to give up.
Graham wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Graham controlling from the full mount.
Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Graham's attempts to control the action.
Graham is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Jackson is in real trouble.

Graham has got one arm under Jackson's chin. This could be trouble... Jackson trying to control the other hand but Graham gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Jackson has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andy Graham!
