The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kovacs moves into range and clinches up with Uno.
Kovacs lands a hook that snaps the head of Uno backwards.

Uno tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kovacs just stands there and leans against the cage.

Uno drops back looking for a leg! Kovacs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kovacs manages to kick Uno off! Uno jumps back into Kovacs's guard.

Uno shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kovacs is trying to defend but Uno finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
