And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swimmer rushes Burkitt and presses him up against the cage.
Swimmer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Burkitt avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Burkitt looking to slow down the pace here.
Swimmer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Burkitt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Swimmer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burkitt is fending him off so far but Swimmer persists. Nope, Burkitt circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Swimmer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Swimmer is defended easily by Burkitt.

Burkitt lands a left and a right that send Swimmer crashing to the mat, dazed. Burkitt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Swimmer is rocked!

Burkitt tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Swimmer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Swimmer checks a leg kick.

Swimmer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burkitt but Burkitt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Swimmer seems to have got his legs back now.
Jack Swimmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swimmer tries to clinch but Burkitt moves out of range.
Swimmer has a takedown stuffed.
Swimmer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Burkitt lands a big right hand that sends Swimmer crashing to the mat! Burkitt stays standing though and waves Swimmer back to his feet!

Burkitt throws a head kick but Swimmer moves out of range.

Burkitt drops Swimmer with a beautiful combination! Swimmer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Burkitt is looking for the KO!
Burkitt tries to score with a low kick but Swimmer moves his leg out of the way.
Burkitt lands with a nice body punch.
Swimmer shoots for a takedown but Burkitt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burkitt digs a good hook to Swimmer's body.
Burkitt misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burkitt stalks Swimmer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Swimmer's face. Swimmer staggers backwards, shaken.
Burkitt steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Swimmer is out on his feet! Burkitt sets himself and nearly takes Swimmer's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
