PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Can Tun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Asuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asuka has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tun doesn't manage to clinch there - Asuka circles away.

Tun closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tun lands in his opponent's guard.
Tun scoring with some ground and pound.
Asuka has momentary wrist control but Tun slips an elbow through the middle.
Asuka looks gassed!
Asuka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tun controls the pace.
Tun is pushing down on Asuka's leg trying to pass to half guard. Asuka is fighting to maintain full guard but Tun has managed to sneak the leg through.
Asuka on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Tun stands up out of the half guard.

Tun closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Tun has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tun has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tun in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Asuka is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
