Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Iverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "On My Way to the Cage" by Rollins Band. Kirk Hall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Iverson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall throws out a leg kick but Iverson moves out of range and Hall only half commits.
Hall tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Iverson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Iverson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Hall still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Hall has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Iverson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Iverson swings around for an armbar but Hall sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Iverson's guard.

Iverson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hall is looking to advance position but Iverson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hall moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hall misses with a looping left.
Hall defending well as Iverson loads up on a big left hand.
Hall lands with a hook. Iverson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hall throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Iverson checks a leg kick.
Hall is looking to chop away at Iverson's legs.
Hall throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Iverson misses with a straight left.
Iverson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hall throws out the jab.
Hall closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Hall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Iverson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hall connects with a solid leg kick.
Hall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Hall throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Iverson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hall slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Iverson chips away with some ground and pound.

Iverson wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Iverson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Iverson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Iverson seems to have locked his on tight now - Hall screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Iverson, as he picks up the win!
