Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Lake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacon comes to the cage accompanied by Scissors For Lefty - Softly The Sea Swallows The Sun. Lake has chosen My life be like oo-ah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lake, right into the meat.
Lake works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lake is looking to land body kicks.
Lake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lake lands with an uppercut that bounces Bacon off the cage and back into rage.
Bacon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bacon somewhat.

Bacon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lake avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bacon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lake lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bacon!
Lake wants to control the pace but Bacon is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Matt Bacon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
