Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soto walks into a straight right hand from Steiner.

Steiner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Soto sprawls well initially but Steiner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Steiner wants to take a breather but Soto is having none of it.
Soto won't allow Steiner to pass to mount.
Soto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Soto will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Steiner wants to pass the guard but Soto is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Soto doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Steiner counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Steiner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Soto to the mat! Soto manages to get full guard.

Soto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steiner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soto is trying to keep Steiner in close.
Soto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Soto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Steiner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Soto has tightened it up now! Steiner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
