Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, steve brewer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
brewer throws a right and a left that Mir avoids nicely.
Mir has a takedown stuffed.

Mir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mir sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mir is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of brewer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take brewer's back!

Mir is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
brewer is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
brewer wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.
Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in brewer's guard.

Mir drops back looking for a leg! brewer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and brewer manages to kick Mir off! Mir jumps back into brewer's guard.
brewer wants to get back to his feet but Mir is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mir stands up from brewer's guard - Mir perhaps looking for a knockout.

and brewer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mir manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Mir has brewer pulled in close to control his posture.

brewer wants to get up but he can't break Mir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
