The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duc pushes al Maktoum up against the cage in a clinch.

Duc turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Duc manages to end up in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jean Duc just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Duc throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. al Maktoum was covering up waiting for the punch and Duc finishes the takedown easily into guard.
