Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sid Vicious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Cross will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sid Vicious!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Cross!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Vicious shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cross's guard.
Vicious tries to free his leg and advance position but Cross is retaining full guard.
Vicious trying to control the position from guard on top but Cross is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vicious. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vicious slips nicely into half guard.
Cross is looking to escape.
Vicious wants to free his trapped foot but Cross is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cross is trying to stand.
Vicious is thwarting Cross's attempts to control the position.
Vicious trying to control the pace.

Vicious looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Vicious perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Vicious wants to pass to mount but Cross is defending the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Vicious gets a takedown into half guard.
Cross won't allow Vicious to pass to mount.

Vicious is keen to just control but Cross is a slippery customer.

Vicious seems to be looking for submissions.
Cross won't allow Vicious to pass to mount.
Vicious seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cross does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vicious is working for a submission of some sort.
Vicious is breathing heavily.
Cross is looking to control Vicious's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cross avoid being mounted?

Vicious wants to free his trapped foot but Cross is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cross looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Cross drives through and clinches with Vicious against the cage.
Vicious fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vicious prevents Cross from breaking the clinch.

Cross breaks from the clinch.
Vicious swats away the attempt to clinch by Cross.
Vicious blocks a head kick by Cross.
Cross throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vicious.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cross goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Cross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cross throws a head kick that misses.
Cross tries to clinch but Vicious moves out of range.
Cross goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Vicious shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Vicious wants to pass the guard but Cross is keeping the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vicious advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sid Vicious dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Vicious darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Vicious is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Cross has managed to free his arm - good work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Vicious working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Vicious is looking for a kimura but Cross is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vicious to get the leverage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cross tries to get to full guard but Vicious has control of the leg.
Vicious wants to pass the guard but Cross is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cross is trying to control but can't.
Vicious is controlling the pace.
Cross is staying active underneath Vicious, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Crunch! Cross slams his shin into Vicious's torso.

Cross moves into the clinch successfully.
Cross is trying to force a seperation but Vicious has the dominant position.
Cross changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vicious fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Vicious scores with a takedown into Cross's guard.
Cross working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vicious.
Vicious controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Cross wants to sweep here but Vicious controlling him for the moment.
Vicious trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Vicious trying to control but Cross is working from the bottom.
Cross is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vicious is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Vicious fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cross sprawls well initially but Vicious persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Vicious in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Cross tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vicious!
