Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Parker Phillipi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benito Camelas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Benito Camelas!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camelas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phillipi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Camelas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Some wild striking there from Phillipi.

Phillipi clinches up against the cage.
Phillipi tries for a takedown but Camelas manages to get underhooks.
Phillipi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Phillipi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Camelas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Phillipi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Camelas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Phillipi has Camelas in his guard.

Phillipi is doing well to control the position and prevent Camelas from advancing to side control.
Camelas tries to stand but can't do so whilst Phillipi controls his leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Camelas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phillipi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Phillipi is looking to take a break and control but Camelas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
