The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emmson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barreto Neto but Barreto Neto pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Barreto Neto wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Barreto Neto is looking for a sweep.
Emmson stands up and beckons Barreto Neto to his feet.
Emmson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barreto Neto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Barreto Neto is not content to let Emmson control the position.
Barreto Neto is looking to reverse the position.
Barreto Neto is breathing heavily.
Emmson throws an elbow but Barreto Neto slips to the side and avoids it well.
Emmson misses with the ground and pound.
Emmson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Emmson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barreto Neto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Emmson is looking to take a break and control but Barreto Neto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Barreto Neto feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Emmson sprawling to the canvas! Emmson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Barreto Neto finish him?!

Emmson is trying to land a reversal but Barreto Neto doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
