PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Knockout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knockout comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sub Focus - Rock It kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Big Knockout will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knockout throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knockout lands with a cross.
Caldwell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Knockout gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Caldwell stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Knockout breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knockout throws a body punch but Caldwell moves out of range.
Caldwell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Caldwell tries to clinch there but Knockout circles away.

Caldwell cracks Knockout with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Caldwell lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Knockout sprawling to the canvas. Caldwell follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Knockout hang on?

It looks like Big Knockout has been cut.
Caldwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knockout on the ground.
Caldwell is trying to control the action in half guard but Knockout is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A jab-cross combination lands for Caldwell and sends Knockout crashing to the mat! Caldwell follows him down to the mat - Knockout regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

That has opened up Big Knockout's cut even more.
Caldwell wants to take a breather but Knockout is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Caldwell in particular looking to stall.
Caldwell wants to stand but Knockout has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Knockout is looking to get back to his feet here but Caldwell is keeping cool and he's managed to take Knockout's back.

Caldwell has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Knockout has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

What can Knockout do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Knockout manages to reverse the position and now he's in Caldwell's guard. Nice work there by Knockout.

Big Knockout's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
