Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Won Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norton has chosen Countdown to Extinction by Megadeth as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Low tries to score a power double leg takedown but Norton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Low somewhat.
Norton tries to clinch there but Low circles away.
Low misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Norton doesn't manage to clinch there - Low circles away.
Low tries for a takedown but Norton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Won Low. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Low shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Norton sprawls well. Norton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Low gets slowly back to his feet.

Norton moves into range and clinches up with Low.

Norton is pushing Low up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Norton tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Low's elbow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Low tightens his grip and picks Norton up, before dumping him to the ground. Norton manages to land in guard.
Low wants to control from the top but Norton keeps moving.
Norton wants to get back to his feet but Low is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Low gets to his feet - Norton follows without any prompting.
Norton tries for a takedown but Low circles away easily

and Low counters with a nice double leg into side control. Norton won't be happy with that.

Low working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Norton tries to buck Low off but Low is having none of it.

Low is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Norton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Norton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Low goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Norton rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Low's guard! Nice work there by Norton!
Low is breathing heavily.

Low is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Norton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Low's guard.

Norton stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Norton throws a lazy head kick

so Low counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Norton scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Low shoots for a double leg takedown but Norton sprawls well. He's pushed Low's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Low moves out of range as Norton throws a body kick.
Norton slaps away a takedown attempt from Low, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Norton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Low counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Low seems to be looking for submissions.

Low is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Norton still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Norton has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That's time! Low's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

No luck for Low with that takedown attempt.

and Low counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Norton is pressing down on Low's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Low stands and steps away. Norton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Norton throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Low counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Norton!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Low jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Norton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Norton and Low has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Norton is not content to let Low control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Norton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Low wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Norton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Low trying to control the position but Norton is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Low has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Low with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Norton is working to get back to half guard.
Norton has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Norton wants to escape the position.

Norton is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Norton tries to escape but Low has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norton is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Norton holding both Low 's hands and preventing any damage.
Won Low overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Low is working for a rear naked choke. Norton is not defending it well and Low has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Norton refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Norton's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
