Peter has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Conor Doyle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Peter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conor Doyle!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle swats away the attempt to clinch by Peter.
A big left from Doyle misses.
Peter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Peter wants to clinch.

Doyle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Doyle wants to control but Peter is keeping him busy.

Doyle is trying to get an arm triangle but Peter is defending well.

Doyle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peter, who protects the arm well.
Peter tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Doyle jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Peter manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Doyle decides to stand back up. Doyle steps back and let's Peter get back to his feet.
Peter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Doyle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Peter.
Peter with a poor takedown

so Doyle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Peter is breathing heavily.
Doyle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Doyle stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Doyle scores with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peter misses with a takedown

and Doyle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Doyle seems to be working for a kimura but Peter defends the submission attempt.

Doyle maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Peter could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Doyle has cracked it and Peter is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Doyle!
