Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zeus Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cain's choice of entrance music: Shadows Fall - Redemption. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ted Cain enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cain misses the shot to the body.
Thomas misses with a two punch combination.
Thomas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cain is trying to defend but Thomas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Thomas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cain keeps working.

Thomas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cain for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thomas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cain tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cain as he avoids it easily.
Thomas tries to bum rush Cain with a series of wild strikes but Cain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Thomas misses with a head kick.
Cain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cain lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Thomas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cain circles away quickly and effectively.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
