Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Blaze Cies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Jurczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cies shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jurczyk can't escape the position.
Cies jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jurczyk is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jurczyk and Cies has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jurczyk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Cies is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jurczyk defends it well.
Cies is thwarting Jurczyk's attempts to control the position.
Cies is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jurczyk is just riding it out for now. Cies eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cies will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jurczyk is on top in guard.

Cies swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jurczyk is now in Cies's guard. A big mistake from Cies there, giving up the dominant position!

Cies is looking for a triangle but Jurczyk pushes his legs off easily.

Cies throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jurczyk escapes and throws Cies's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Cies tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jurczyk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jurczyk lands a few punches from side control.
Jurczyk trying to control the action but Cies is working from the bottom.
Jurczyk lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cies down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Jurczyk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cies's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jurczyk is looking to stand up but Cies won't let him.
Jurczyk tries to free his leg and advance position but Cies is retaining full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jurczyk's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Cies counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jurczyk's guard now.
Cies drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cies jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jurczyk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cies is controlling him.

Blaze Cies overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
