The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Bowles finds it's way through earth's defenses.

Bowles has earth up against the cage in a clinch.
earth fails to pull guard.
Bowles is working earth over against the cage.

Bowles ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bowles no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
earth won't allow Bowles to sweep him here.
earth passes Bowles's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Bowles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
earth tries to pass to full mount but Bowles defends it.
Bowles is looking for a sweep. earth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
earth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bowles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

earth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bowles is just riding it out for now. earth eventually gives up the hold.

Bowles is defending against the submission attempts here by earth.

Bowles wants to hold on but earth pushes him away.
