Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Friday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bj henn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Friday comes to the cage accompanied by Whip It by Devo. henn has chosen P Diddy- victory as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friday moves into the clinch.
henn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Friday has him pressed against the cage.
henn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
henn wants a takedown.
henn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Nice elbow from Friday.

Friday breaks from the clinch.
A swing and a miss from henn.
henn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Friday shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. henn is trying to defend but Friday finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Friday takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
henn tries to kick Friday off but Friday keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Friday has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can henn defend it? Friday steps over the head and cranks it - henn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Friday!
