Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damon King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Evil Clown - Slapshock. The Man could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Damon King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damon King!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Man does no damage.
Man throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
King slips a jab and a cross from Man.
Man tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Man scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man throws a left that rocks King and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Man dives into side control, looking to finish! Can King regain composure!


King is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King bucks up and tries to throw Man off but instead Man has got his back!
King tries to escape the position.
Man really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for King.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man is trying to stick to King's back but King is turning into Man. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Man's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by King.
Man has a closed guard, preventing King from standing up.
King throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Man is controlling King's posture.

King is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top!
Man is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

King escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Man is stalling in the full guard.
Man wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.

King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Man dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Man throws a left that rocks King and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Man dives into side control, looking to finish! Can King regain composure!


It looks like Damon King has been cut.
King is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Man slows the pace down.
Man knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
Man wants to control for a moment but King uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Man trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.

The referee stands the fighters back up. The Man just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Man circles away.
King shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Man checks it well.
Some wild striking there from Man.
Nice uppercut lands for Man. That snapped King's head back.
Man lands with a shot to the body.
King is breathing heavily.
King dodges the punch combination from Man.
Man thuds a left hand into King's body.
Man scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Man lands a left and a right that sends King crashing to the canvas! Man dives into mount looking to finish!
King is still in real trouble! Can Man finish him?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man content just to control the position here.
King seems to have recovered his senses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Man dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Damon King's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Man throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Man punishes King's body with a nice straight punch.
Man cracks King with an open hand slap.
King takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Man lands with an overhand left.
Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Man scores with a shot to the body.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Man is looking to wear down King with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Man changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
King is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Man.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Man throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Man misses with a double jab.
Oooh a lovely combination from Man sends King down but not out. Man dives into side control looking to finish.
Man content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Man passes to full mount! That's big trouble for King!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King tries to hold on but Man postures up.
The Man is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Man controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Man unloads with some shots from mount but King bucks and avoids them well.

And that's the end of the fight!
The Man showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Man has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
