Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Raider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky Raider!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James May!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raider takes the fight into the clinch.

Raider pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
May uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Raider.
Raider moves out of range as May throws a body kick.

Raider moves into the clinch.

Raider manages to break the clinch.
Raider blocks a head kick by May.
Ricky Raider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raider throws a combination but it was largely blocked by May.
Raider scores with a punch to the head.
May scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Raider doesn't seem bothered though.

May fails with an attempt to clinch.
May moves in looking to clinch but Raider pushes him off.

May ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. May no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

May manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raider manages to get himself to full guard.
May content to stall in guard here.

Raider is looking to stand up but May isn't so interested in that idea.

May stands and steps away. Raider gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
May tries to clinch but Raider moves out of range.
Raider throws a nice looking combination but May bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch lands to the side of Raider 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Raider clinches up with May and pushes him back against the cage.
May wants a takedown but no success here.
May jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raider walks away with a smile on his face. May gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Raider displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from May.
Ricky Raider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James May.

May closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Raider did well to prevent May getting side control.
Raider is trying to stand up here but May is controlling him well.
May looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Raider with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
May wants to control but Raider is keeping him busy.

May gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

so May counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Raider is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

May decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

May throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Raider was covering up waiting for the punch and May finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Raider throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Raider tries a head kick but it misses.
May works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Raider misses with a few strikes there.
May fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Raider avoids it really well and circles away.
Raider lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
May tries to clinch up but Raider circles away and keeps his distance.

May shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Still in half guard, May seems content to control.

Raider looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

May stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Raider to get to his feet.

May changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Raider looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
May works to advance to full mount. Raider defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
May takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
May cracks Raider with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
May takes Raider's back.
May really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Raider.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
May keeps control of the position as Raider tries to break free.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

May slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - May's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

May has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Raider has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

May shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Raider manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Raider wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and May manages to pass to side control.

Let's hope that May has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

May has control of Raider's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Raider regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Despite being in the dominant position, James May just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

May decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
May has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Raider's face.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, May cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
