Russki comes to the cage accompanied by TIME TO DIE KARCHINSKI; SAY GOODNIGHT. Ken Karchinski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russki checks a leg kick.
Russki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karchinski pinned against the cage. Karchinski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Russki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Karchinski wants to sweep here but Russki controlling him for the moment.

Russki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Russki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nikolai Russki just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Russki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Russki is pushing down on Karchinski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Karchinski is fighting to maintain full guard but Russki has managed to sneak the leg through.

Russki working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
