The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Baker gets the takedown into side control.
Hernandez is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Baker is looking to take a break and control but Hernandez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hernandez wants to get back to his feet but Baker drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working.

Baker stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Charlie Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hernandez shoots in for a double leg but Baker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hernandez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hernandez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Baker as he avoids it easily.
Baker tries to clinch but Hernandez is having none of it.

Baker lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Hernandez can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Baker and Hernandez drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Baker.
