PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mad Hatter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatter comes to the cage accompanied by They Don't Care About US. Luke Lee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mad Hatter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Lee!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws an overhand right that lands on Hatter's shoulder, as Hatter tries to avoid the shot.
Hatter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.
Hatter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Some wild striking there from Lee.
Lee throws out a loose jab but Hatter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hatter fails to land the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee looks to throw the jab but Hatter is out of range.

Hatter feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Hatter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Luke Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lee throws a lazy right hand but Hatter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Lee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Luke Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Hatter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Lee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hatter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hatter tries to get out of the position.

Luke Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
