Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trup Randalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bret Heart has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bret Heart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trup Randalls!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randalls shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Heart looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Randalls missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Randalls throwing strikes but missing.
Randalls trying to control the position from guard on top but Heart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Randalls trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Randalls has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Heart is proving hard to escape from.
Randalls sitting in guard here, content to control.
Randalls really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Heart is breathing heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randalls is working Heart over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Heart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randalls gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Heart keeping moving, preventing Randalls from controlling successfully.
Randalls is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Randalls seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Randalls stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Randalls trying to control the position from guard on top but Heart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Randalls seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Despite being in the dominant position, Trup Randalls just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Heart tries for a takedown but Randalls circles away easily

and Randalls counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Randalls seems to be looking for submissions.
Randalls trying to control the action but Heart is working from the bottom.
Randalls lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Still in half guard, Randalls seems content to control.
Randalls seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Randalls decides to stand and escape the position.

Randalls shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Heart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Randalls looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Randalls seems to be working for a kimura but Heart defends the submission attempt.

Randalls is working for a submission of some sort.
Heart punching from the bottom.
Heart keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Heart looks like he's trying to stand up.
Randalls sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Heart defending well though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Randalls changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heart looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trup Randalls dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Randalls gets a takedown into half guard.

Randalls is looking for a kimura but Heart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Randalls to get the leverage.
Randalls thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Randalls thows a huge punch but Heart dodges it nicely.
Heart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Heart.
Randalls wants to control from the top but Heart keeps moving.

Heart pushes Randalls off and scrambles back to his feet.

Randalls closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randalls throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Trup Randalls has got the better of the ground game so far.
Randalls throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Randalls is looking to take a break and control but Heart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Randalls looks to land a strike but Heart avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Heart is trying to keep Randalls in close.
Heart has momentary wrist control but Randalls slips an elbow through the middle.

Randalls postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Heart is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Randalls, into his guard.
Randalls trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Heart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Heart prevents Randalls from getting back to his feet.
Heart is looking to stand up but Randalls won't let him.
Randalls looking to hit a scissor sweep but Heart is one step ahead there.
Randalls throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Randalls isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Heart stacks Randalls on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Heart!
Randalls is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Heart is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Randalls is looking to improve his position but Heart isn't that keen on the idea.
Heart raining down shots from the mount!
Heart tries to control but Randalls wriggling away.
Randalls is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Randalls reaches up to try and control the position but Heart seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Randalls rolls and tries to escape and now Heart has his back!
Randalls just trying to survive but Heart is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Heart scores with punches to the body.

Randalls is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Randalls tries to break free.
Randalls is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Heart throwing damaging strikes from the back! Randalls could be in trouble here!
Heart tries to get the hooks in deep but Randalls pushed the leg off.
Randalls is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bret Heart will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Heart misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bret Heart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Randalls decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Randalls is thwarting Heart's attempts to control the position.
Randalls slips a nice elbow through Heart's hands, connecting with Heart's forehead.
Randalls wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heart keeps working.
Randalls performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Randalls is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Heart manages to get to full guard.
Heart keeping moving, preventing Randalls from controlling successfully.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Heart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Randalls wants to control from the top but Heart keeps moving.

Randalls is sitting in close to Heart's body. Heart has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Randalls is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Randalls is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Heart.
