The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuinness tries to close the distance and clinch up but McFisticus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McFisticus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McGuinness manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McGuinness working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McFisticus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McFisticus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGuinness is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McFisticus won't allow McGuinness to sweep him here.

McFisticus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGuinness on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McFisticus in particular looking to stall.
McGuinness is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McFisticus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McFisticus's back!
McGuinness thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
