PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cool McCold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McCold might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Back in Black. Scott has chosen Fight Music as his entrance music. The key to victory for Cool McCold has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cool McCold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Scott!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCold can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Scott controls the pace.

Scott seems to be working for a kimura but McCold defends the submission attempt.

Scott drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McCold manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scott has McCold in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scott has his foot on McCold's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCold works his way back into a safe position though.

Scott throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McCold escapes and throws Scott's legs to the side, diving into side control!
McCold tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cool McCold will probably get the nod.

Scott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McCold's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McCold will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McCold fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Scott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McCold lands a jab to the nose.
Scott takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

McCold is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
McCold lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
