Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Rojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Cash Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson Cash Jr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Rojo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Cash Jr!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash Jr wants to clinch.

A swing and a miss from Cash Jr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rojo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cash Jr tries to avoid it but Rojo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cash Jr to the ground. Cash Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Rojo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cash Jr swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rojo is now in Cash Jr's guard. A big mistake from Cash Jr there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rojo darts in trying to clinch

and Cash Jr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cash Jr.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rojo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cash Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rojo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rojo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rojo!
Cash Jr is looking to regain half guard here but Rojo keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rojo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cash Jr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rojo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cash Jr's back instead.

Rojo throws a right hand that Cash Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Cash Jr also avoids with ease.

Cash Jr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rojo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Rojo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cash Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cash Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rojo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cash Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Rojo's legs - danger averted.

Cash Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rojo is just riding it out for now. Cash Jr eventually gives up the hold.
Rojo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cash Jr is working away from the top position though.

Rojo manages to get to full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Jackson Cash Jr.
Well Cash Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
