Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Battaile Fauber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fauber comes to the cage accompanied by I Like Big Butts. Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sandstorm Darude. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fauber misses with a head kick.
Silva fails to land the takedown.

Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fauber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva tries to advance to mount but Fauber denies him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fauber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fauber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Some bone on bone action there as Silva checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Battaile Fauber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wanderlei Silva.

Fauber has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fauber sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Fauber wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fauber.
