Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Lindholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarmo Lasberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tarmo Lasberg is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tarmo Lasberg!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lasberg throws a nice looking combination but Lindholm bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lasberg tries to bum rush Lindholm with a series of wild strikes but Lindholm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lasberg wants to clinch up but Lindholm keeps it at a distance.
Lasberg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lasberg throws a series of strikes that have Lindholm backpedaling.


It looks like Martin Lindholm has been cut.
Lasberg misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lindholm clinches but Lasberg breaks the clinch
and Lasberg counters with a straight right hand.

and Lasberg counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Lindholm down! Lasberg is looking to finish but Lindholm is intelligently defending himself.

Lindholm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lindholm is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lindholm lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lasberg or not.
Lindholm is trying to maintain a safe position but Lasberg gets an underhook and turns Lindholm into the cage.

Lasberg blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lasberg has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lindholm is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lindholm shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lasberg is trying to defend but Lindholm finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lindholm connects with a nice short shot to Lasberg's temple.
Lindholm lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lasberg wants to stand back up but Lindholm manages to pass into side control.
Lasberg is trying to escape the position but Lindholm is controlling the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Martin Lindholm will probably get the nod.

That's time! Lindholm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Lindholm counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lindholm.
Lasberg changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lindholm fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lasberg closes the distance but Lindholm moves to the side

and Lindholm decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lasberg's guard.
Lasberg wants to get back to his feet but Lindholm passes into half guard.
Lindholm takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lindholm working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lindholm slips a nice elbow through Lasberg's hands, connecting with Lasberg's forehead.

Lindholm's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lindholm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lasberg takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Lasberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lindholm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lindholm tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
