The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fay misses with a takedown attempt - Masters sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fay could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Masters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Masters fails to land the takedown.
Fay fails with the takedown

and Masters counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Masters.
Masters goes for a takedown attempt but Fay pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fay takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Fay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Masters won't be happy with that.
Rachel Fay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Masters.

Fay has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Masters is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fay yanks on the arm and Masters is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fay.
