Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Guillermo Valez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paavo Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valez misses with a two punch combination.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Valez as he avoids it easily.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
Guillermo Valez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paavo Smith.
Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith looks for a takedown but Valez sprawls well.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valez tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valez to the ground. Valez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Valez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
A big right from Valez misses.
Valez throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valez swivels and escapes.
Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Valez sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Smith looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Valez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith.
Valez is looking to escape.
Valez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Valez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Valez is controlling Smith's trapped leg to prevent Smith from advancing to side control.
Valez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith.
Valez is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Valez tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Valez misses with a looping right.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valez as he jumps to the side.
Valez looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Valez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Valez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.

Valez stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Valez lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Smith sprawling to the canvas. Valez follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Smith hang on?
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Valez finish him?
Valez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valez's waist but Valez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
Valez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Paavo Smith's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A punch combination from Valez misses.
Smith looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Valez shows good takedown defense.
Nice combo by Valez! Oh, that's hurt him - Smith falls to the canvas and Valez follows him into side control.
Valez tries to stand but Smith is controlling his head.
Smith controls the position for a moment.
Valez decides to stand back up. Valez steps back and let's Smith get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Valez cracks Smith on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Smith falls backwards against the cage. Valez follows up with more strikes that drop Smith to his knees. Valez keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Smith! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guillermo Valez!
