Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Lorenz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romano S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lorenz comes to the cage accompanied by Face the Pain. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Lorenz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano S!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorenz shoots in and drives through. S sprawls well.
S stuffs the takedown attempt from Lorenz. Lorenz gets slowly back to his feet.
Lorenz shoots for a takedown but S saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Lorenz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

S moves into the clinch successfully.
S pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Lorenz jumps guard but S stands there with Lorenz around his waist. Lorenz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lorenz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
S has Lorenz pressed against the cage, preventing Lorenz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

S comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Lorenz is trying to break the clinch but S is controlling him.

S wants to stand but Lorenz is controlling his posture from full guard.
S must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lorenz has a closed guard, preventing S from standing up.

Lorenz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but S can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lorenz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lorenz is breathing heavily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
S wants to stand but Lorenz is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lorenz closes the distance and clinches up with S, looking for a takedown. Lorenz pushes S against the cage but S circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lorenz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has S pinned against the cage. S gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nice sprawl there from S as Lorenz shoots in.

The fight stays on the outside here - S looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lorenz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A decent looking body kick lands there for S.
S goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

S explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

S tries to buck Lorenz off but he can't manage it.

S wants to try and get back to his feet.
S is squirming around, avoiding Lorenz's attempts to control the action.

Lorenz wants to control the pace but S is squirming around nicely.
S is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Lorenz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
S is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lorenz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as S is looking to escape.

Romano S showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

S lands an elbow that stopped Lorenz in his tracks for a moment.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, S just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lorenz's brow.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I've got S winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
