Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between boxer guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronaldo Souza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Souza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Souza tries to close the distance and clinch but guy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
guy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Souza as he jumps to the side.
Souza moves in looking to clinch but guy pushes him off.
guy circles away from the clinch attempt.
guy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Souza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten guy somewhat.
guy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for boxer guy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

guy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. guy showed some decent athleticism there.
guy is keen to just control but Souza is a slippery customer.
Souza tries to kick guy off but guy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
guy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

guy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Souza manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Souza tries to improve position but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Souza parries the strikes from guy easily there. guy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Souza to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

guy is working to tighten is grip on Souza's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Souza has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but guy is really squeezing tight and eventually Souza passes out! guy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
