Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Bergstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bergstrom has chosen Boom as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergstrom throws a head kick that misses.
Nielsen looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Nielsen!
Bergstrom misses with a takedown attempt - Nielsen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bergstrom is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nielsen's half guard.

Nielsen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bergstrom is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nielsen to the mat. Nielsen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Nielsen is looking for a sweep. Bergstrom is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bergstrom shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nielsen is trying to defend but Bergstrom finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bergstrom wants to stand but Nielsen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bergstrom feints and as Nielsen raises his hands in defense, Bergstrom changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bergstrom wants to control from the top but Nielsen keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nielsen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nielsen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bergstrom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nielsen pinned against the cage. Nielsen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Richard Nielsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bergstrom is looking to take a break and control but Nielsen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nielsen parries the strikes from Bergstrom easily there. Bergstrom is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nielsen to escape.

Bergstrom has an Americana. Nielsen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bergstrom is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bergstrom hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
