And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Souza throws a head kick but Da Silva moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Da Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Da Silva throws a leg kick but de Souza moved away.
Da Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Da Silva lands with a nice body kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A combination from Da Silva does no damage.
de Souza tries to clinch there but Da Silva circles away.
Da Silva moves in looking to clinch but de Souza pushes him off.

Da Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Da Silva is trying to work for a kimura but de Souza is defending well.
de Souza won't allow Da Silva to pass to mount.

de Souza has one foot on Da Silva's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

de Souza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Da Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Da Silva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
de Souza prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
de Souza lands an elbow inside that Da Silva shrugs off.

de Souza breaks from the clinch.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from de Souza! Da Silva is out on his feet! de Souza rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Da Silva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Da Silva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
