Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dioxippus Nikolaidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Mean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolaidis comes to the cage accompanied by Animal Collective - My Girls. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dioxippus Nikolaidis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gene Mean!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mean misses with a takedown attempt - Nikolaidis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mean takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mean bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nikolaidis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mean on the ground.
Nikolaidis taking punishment in the form of punches.
Nikolaidis struggling a bit here.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
An elbow from Mean crashes against the mat.
Nikolaidis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mean has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Mean creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nikolaidis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sloppy strikes there by Mean.
Mean looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nikolaidis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nikolaidis tries to get out of the position.
Nikolaidis wants to control but Mean postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nikolaidis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mean stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mean closes the distance and clinches up with Nikolaidis, looking for a takedown. Mean pushes Nikolaidis against the cage but Nikolaidis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mean looks gassed!
Nikolaidis cracks Mean with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nikolaidis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nikolaidis looks to land a combination. Mean sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Nikolaidis scores with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nikolaidis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mean closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mean takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mean is rocked!
Nikolaidis misses with a series of wild punches.
Mean is still on wobbly legs! Can Nikolaidis finish him?
Nikolaidis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mean seems to have recovered his senses.
Nikolaidis is looking to wear down Mean with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nikolaidis connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mean tumbling to the canvas! Nikolaidis pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mean was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dioxippus Nikolaidis!
