Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between CJ Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo has chosen Yvan & Dan Daniel - Enjoy The Silence as his entrance music. Victor Hugo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo scores with a one two! Fertit had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like CJ Fertit has been cut.
Hugo misses with a body shot.
Hugo throws a chopping leg kick but Fertit manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fertit shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hugo's guard.
Fertit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hugo wants to stand and escape but Fertit is having none of it.
Fertit slips nicely into half guard.
Fertit is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hugo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fertit.
Fertit is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hugo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fertit is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hugo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hugo keeping moving, preventing Fertit from controlling successfully.
Hugo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fertit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fertit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hugo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Fertit is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hugo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hugo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fertit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hugo tries to avoid it but Fertit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hugo to the ground. Hugo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hugo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
CJ Fertit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fertit is breathing heavily.
Hugo with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hugo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hugo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hugo throws a series of punches but Fertit moves out of range.

Hugo lands a nice shot to the body.
Hugo lands a two punch combo.
Hugo slaps away a takedown attempt from Fertit, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hugo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fertit closes the distance and clinches up with Hugo, looking for a takedown. Fertit pushes Hugo against the cage but Hugo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Fertit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fertit takes a jab right on the kisser.

Hugo looks to land a combination but Fertit avoids it well.
Hugo misses with a two punch combination.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fertit.
Fertit shoots in for a takedown but Hugo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hugo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fertit closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fertit is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hugo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hugo can't do much from the bottom here.
Fertit has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hugo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fertit yanks on the arm and Hugo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fertit.
