Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between One Scoup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chito Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, One Scoup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chito Hua!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hua misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hua throws a right and a left that both miss.
Scoup looks to land a combination. Hua sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Scoup avoids the head kick by Hua.
Scoup really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hua fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Scoup is out of range.
Scoup throws a right and a left that Hua avoids nicely.
Hua dodges the punch combination from Scoup.
One Scoup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A punch lands to the side of Hua 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hua dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scoup. That did some damage!

and Hua counters by clinching up.

A frustrated look appears on Scoup's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hua turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hua manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hua is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Scoup knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Hua counters with a three punch combo that has Scoup backing up. Scoup nods at Hua to acknowledge the strikes.
Scoup bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Scoup throws a right hand that Hua ducks under and follows up with a left that Hua also avoids with ease.
Hua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hua tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scoup swivels and escapes.

Hua gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Scoup looks to land a combination but Hua avoids it well.

and Hua decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scoup's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scoup has momentary wrist control but Hua slips an elbow through the middle.
Scoup is breathing heavily.
Scoup is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hua postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Scoup is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hua, into his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hua not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scoup throws a series of punches but Hua avoids them all with ease.

Chito Hua showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
